off day hike to morning glory geyser!
us with the trail to the old faithful geyser. nice?
i think this is a chipmunk?
its really adorable!!!
i was just less den a metre from it.
coz i crept up on it....
and it did not run off.
hehe.
the boardwalk and another geyser. hee.
laogong with a ranger we met along the hike.
we waited for the eruption of grand geyser.
its supposed to go up to like 10 to 15 stories high?
but we waited....... and waited...... and waited......
till even laogong wants to zzz.
and it still did not erupted.
so we did not wait.
(we saw it from afar though, somewhere along the hike it erupted. haha)

its just at the bank of the firehole river. =p

it looks really like a morning glory!
but sadly its becoming less & less pretty coz there are ignorant pple who pollutes it.
threw things inside & it affected the nature process =(

eh....

so no pics today!
i got transfered over to grant village today.
with tianxing (another room attendent at my workplace)
i thought it would be a tough day.
but i guess i was being over suspicious.
it doesn't help that its quite obvious tt the boss sent us coz we are the slowest =.=
and also i guess our list are the shortest to complete today.
long story...
but heck him.
stupid, insincere, fake boss we have.
heng we have a 2nd boss whos nice & friendly.

and luckily its him who came with us!!!
the lake there was really pretty.
its so serene & peaceful.
i love it!!!
though i only saw it for a brief moment coz i was working.
(i saw it through the lodge room's window)
going to help laogong ask if i am going again.
hopefully he can come too!!!
i dun mind skipping lunch to go see the lake.
its too pretty to be ignored.
hehehe.
oh.
and another update.
i have officially lost my ipod nano.
someone stole it after we left the plane.
coz i am 100% sure its dropped there.
damn.
looking at the iphone now.
but i dunno if i really want to get it though..
my nano arghhhhh! =(
oh well.
i still have my creative zen micro i guess.

oh yes.
an update of our travelling plans.
we are heading over to las vegas after we end work,
from 17 to 20th july.
den flying over to florida,
to universal studios,
seaworld &
disneyworld,
staying from 21st to 30th july.
and den flying back to LA to go back to taipei.
hopefully we can transit there again.
sadly we can't tour LA coz we are both tt few months away from 21st.
so we can't rent a car!
the transport system there is close to zilch.
sians.
but i get to go to my florida!!!
and all the factory outlets!
hehehe.
i am going to SHOP SHOP SHOP!
it snowed last week.
unexpectedly.
when i was working halfway,
the snow came down.
i thought it was rain.
but after observing it closer,
its SNOW!!!
and it continued to the next day!
hehe.
love it!
but i was brrrrrr-ing cold in the morning.
=(
now the weather is warming up.
i used to wear.....
long john, trackpants, shirt, jacket, socks & gloves.
now i wear......
everything except jacket to sleep.
thats on top of 2 blankets ok!
haha.
shows how cold the weather is,
and how lousy our heater is.
=p
oh and another thing.
i so wanted to do online shopping,
but the irritating USBank closed my checkcard for no apparant reason!!!
SO NOW I DO NOT HAVE A USA BANK CARD.
argh.
so much for a 5 star guaranteed bank.

after work one day in our cabin!

coz of my cut hands, broken nails & aching muscles.

ok. not very funny.
i guess no one knows that he also likes to zi lian hor?

after dinner boardwalk hike.
headed out to the boardwalk after dinner one day.but i forgot which. opps.
laogong & me with the firehole river.

jinwei&jiawen with the entire old faithful village as the background!
there isn't much photos coz we took mostly scenic ones.
& i think u guys will get bored of looking at geysers all the time!!!

we're back! hike to the old faithful observation point!
hehe.photos bout our first hike with the recreation centre.
led by leigh ann & andrew.
it was supposed to be an easy hike.
but as usual,
the lack of stamina me was panting away uphill.
=x
energetic us getting ready for the hike of the day!
the temperature was brrrrgggggg-ing cold.
8 degree celcius in the morning of the hike!
the views as we hiked. =)
it was only a easy 1 point something miles hike.
bout 2 km i think.
but it was uphill -> leading to the lack of breath.
excuses for myself. hehe.
we went up to the observation point for old faithful geyser.
just another viewpoint to watch the geyser erupt.

haven seen it for quite sometime now.

all the flights drove us crazy!
reached san frans on 6th may 07!
the whole sign outside wrote "San Francisco International Airport"
too long to take into one picture.
took the shuttle from SFO to travelodge north.
this is the poolview from the door of our room. hehe.
did not take much pics in the hotel also.
breakfast-ed in International House of Pancake (IHOP).
the pancake servings were HUGE!
i took the less calories servings (supposed to be less)
but i was full within 1 & a half slice.
what a waste =.=.
headed off back to SFO for our domestic flights after breakfast.
us in the airport waiting for the domestic flight to salt lake city.
after the unsuccessful search for the lost & found department in SFO.
=.=.
they just pushed us from one place to the other.
and their so called complimentary phones were sucky.
CAN'T CONNECT TO THE AIRLINES AT ALL.
WHAT THE HELL!
our boarding passes.
first time sitting on the first row of an airplane!
but the plane was really small. haha.
lunch-ed in salt lake city before waiting for the next flight into bozeman.
so we took some crazy photos.
haha.
there's more which i can't upload coz it will take too much time!

on the bus up to yellowstones.

can u spot the baby bisons?
they are cute!!!!
though they are really huge (height up to my chest)
& they run really fast (50km/hr).
but i am scared of them.
they can throw us around like rag dolls!
i siam when i see one from afar. haha.
p.s one actually walked beside our bus on the way to old faithful.
its HUGEEEEEE.
one of the geyser/hotspring, i'm not sure which,
as we drive to old faithful.
laogong fell aslp on the drive due to jet lag.
from bozeman to the personel office took 1.5 hrs.
& from personnel office/mammoth to old faithful took another 1.5 hrs!
laogong with old faithful when we reached!
more updates soon on our next off day.
should be sometime next wk or so =)
